The main difference between the bakelite mold and the plastic mold is that the bakelite mold must be made into a hard mold. The gate for the glue inlet is relatively large, and the gate sleeve is also relatively large. The gate for the glue feeding is generally an insert. The difference between the two is that the molding temperature of the bakelite mold is very high, so it needs to be heated, so the mold should have a heating pipe, and the plastic mold is generally cooled. In molding, the parting surface of the Glulam mold has a certain gap, which is very small. It should be related to the size and quality requirements of the products. The products made have flash edges at the breakdown parts. Injection of bakelite mold and plastic mold there is no big difference, just a little difference.

1. The materials for bakelite molds should be 8407635, SKD61, which should have good quality and hardness at high temperature.

2. The bakelite mold is easy to wear, so it should be heat treated to about HRC60, that is to say, it should be similar to the hardness of the tool. Of course, if the quantity is not large, we can also use NAK80 pre hardening steel, hrc40, which is also feasible.

3. The most easily worn part is the glue point, so it's better to make it into an insert, inlaid with white steel or black steel. Of course, Wugang is the best, but it is fragile and can only be processed by wire cutting or grinding. The replaceable inserts are made for easy replacement after wear.

4. Because the mold needs to be heated, it is necessary to add heating tube or heating plate.

5. In order to prevent heat from being taken away by the injection molding machine during heating, it is also necessary to add a piece of heat insulation board on the upper and lower plates, which can be asbestos or electric board.

6. Due to the thermal expansion of the heating mold, in order to prevent the mold from sticking, the guide pillar and guide sleeve of the mold are slightly loose than the plastic mold.

7. The bakelite mold is easy to stick to the mold, so it must be made into smooth surface, and the surface of the cavity is plated with hard chromium. Cut surface is absolutely not allowed to have grain, if the top surface is large to smooth surface can also have some decorative patterns

8. The steel used in the bakelite mold is different from the plastic mold. The upper and lower plates of the mold should be covered with a layer of insulation board.

9. Bakelite is a thermosetting material. The temperature of bakelite powder is 100 ℃ in the barrel, 160 ℃ at the gate and 180 ℃ in the mold. The bakelite injection mold needs to be heated to 160 ℃ before injection, so it is necessary to add a heating tube

10. The steel of the electric wood mold is almost the same as that of the plastic mold, either 8407, S136 heat treatment, SKD61 heat treatment, but the most important thing is that the mold must be polished to 2000 ᦇ sandpaper, and then plated with hard chromium to prevent sticking to the mold. The mold must be heated by a heating rod to produce products.
